The greatest movie of all time is about to get better. Available in September, The Godfather: The Coppola Restoration is on the must-have list for fall DVD and – better still! – Hi Definition BluRay. Both Godfather I and II have been restored and the often-maligned, underappreciated third installment has been fully remastered. Included in the 5 disc set are the usual extra scenes and interviews you find on most box-sets, but for the hardcore film buffs among us there’s detailed info on the restoration process itself as well as a few short films.

This is much more than just a contraption to keep beer cold. Built to be compatible with the 5 litre Heineken mini-keg – as well as practically any other same-sized keg – the Wunderbar Beer Chiller is an impressive addition to any home bar. An additional CO2 cartridge maintains the carbonation of the beer and will last for about 300 kegs. Give it a few weeks and you’ll be pulling pints like a pro.

You’ll have to forgive me if this is a departure from the norm, but the dropping of new Jordan Countdown pack must be addressed. There’s a lot of hype surrounding this pairing given that the colour scheme for the 4’s haven’t been available on a pair of Jordan’s in nine years. They’ve got a certain Do the Right Thing look to them, and that’s always a good thing. And with the street-savvy 4’s come the court-ready 19’s. A little sharper, a little slicker, a great companion.

Everything else is wireless these days so your speakers should be, too, right? LaCie’s FireWire Speakers go the extra mile in that they require no batteries, either, operating on a built-in FireWire cable (how’d you guess?) that runs on the power of your computer. And though rather pint-sized, theses little dynamos have a frequency response of 90hZ to 20kHz, ensuring they do indeed pack a whollop.
