The iPad is now available for pre-order for US customers. First delivery is on April 3rd. Wi-Fi + 3G models will be available in late April.

After 10 years or so of speculation and rumors, Apple’s iPad (I preferred iSlate) is finally here. The iPad ($499-$829) caters to the same market that a netbook would but offers so much more. At only ½ inch thick with a 9.7 inch screen, the iPad is a welcomed addition for any Apple fan and another must beat product for Apple competitors. All in all, today was a good day for consumers. The iPad supports 3G, 802.11 WiFi and has Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. It comes with 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB storage capacity and an impressive 10 hour battery life. The user interface is much like the iPhone but with a whole bunch of additional features. Best of all, it is compatible with pretty much all of the current iPhone Apps. With the new iBook Store the iPad will be the hottest eBook reader on the planet.

Suffice it to say, Apple has introduced another game changer. Get yours in March.
